Career Day

We had a lot of great professionals in our MPR today.






































Thank you parents for taking time from your busy schedules
and talking to our students today.





Career Day Requirements
Parent - Career Day Presentations - February 22nd   (8:15-10:00)
Student - Career Day Presentations - March 8th (8:15-10:00)
(Poster is due on Wednesday, March 7th)
(The students will have some class time to do research.)
The Poster Board/Tri-Fold should include:
1)   A large job title and your name on your poster.
2)  At least 6 different paragraphs
     Each paragraph should be at least 8 to 10 sentences long.
Paragraphs 1-3 - Include the The Big Idea and two other ICONS
(Details, Judgement, Ethics, Change Over Time, Trends, Impact . . .)
that relate to your career.  Explain your job in these typed paragraphs.
 All 3 paragraphs should include different information about your job
and should be in your own words.
Paragraph 4 - Use the Rules Icon
Describe the education you need in order to
do your career.
Paragraph 5 -  Language of the Discipline
    (At least 10 words and their definitions.)
Paragraph 6 -  Motive – Why you want to do this career?
3)  Include colored illustrations/pictures related to your career
4)   References- Include URL’s or use easybib.com  to cite your sources

Along with this Tri-Fold/Poster, please come dressed to impress representing
your chosen career and bring 1-2 artifacts/items that relate to your chosen
career the day you give your presentation.

You will present on Thursday, March 8th in front of both
5th GATE classes.
Have a 30 second memorized speech ready about your Career
